Paras Savnani
Hey there 👋 I'm a Founder/Engineer based out of San Francisco, California. When I'm not busy breaking things (oops, I mean... building things xP), you'll find me tinkering with the latest AI models!
Got my O1A visa in 2024 to chase the American dream (they call it the "Extraordinary Alien" visa lol)! Also part of The SF Commons community - come say hi :)
Are you a high agency person looking for a cofounder? Or an investor who wants to 1000x their investment? Shoot me an email at savnani5@gmail.com or chat with me here!
Background:
- Born and raised in Amdavad, India! APS (Army Public School) gang represent :)
- Used to play semi-pro Football in high school, also a triathlete.
- Built Robots in undergrad (at Nirma University) and led India's robotics team at ABU Robocon, Vietnam! We crushed it in 2018 nationals, beating 110 teams and setting the speed record in the competition's history since 2002. Check out our final runs: 2018, 2019
- Developed an AI agent for logistics (TiA) at Fero AI, Dubai (much before AI agents were cool xD). It could perform Database queries, plan optimal routes and handle freight logistics etc. via Whatsapp chat interface and Google Dialogflow Engine. [2020]
- Speedran Master's in CS/Robotics (15 months) with a 4.0 GPA from University of Maryland (Go TERPS xP). Did AI Avatar research under Aniket Bera and ML/CV research on drones under Lina Castano. [2021-22]
- Developed the world's first real-time AI Avatars at Samsung Research America, NEON Labs (product). Built the Behavior/Video generation engine and also deployed it for enterprise users. More information on the launch here! [2022-23]
- Engineering/Research experience at early-stage startups in AI agents and Video tech. Met incredible founders via OnDeck (ODF22) and Buildspace n/w! Also, built and grew Lunaris to 50+ users (an AI platform for content creators to repurpose video content). [2024]
- Judge/Mentor at top hackathons including Stanford Treehacks, UC Berkeley Calhacks, HackDavis, and more!
Check out what I'm cooking on Github! I believe everyone should read this blog on first principles thinking.
